How was the run?
Simple, calm, heart rate below 160, easy 11-minute miles. These are the delightful early autumn days when the sun is shining at 630am and the weather isn't trying to hurt your feelings.
I’ve been exploring the neighborhood on O***** Rd and some of these houses are huge. I can’t imagine the HOA fees.
How was the album?
Back when Demonoid was on the other domain name, and I was maybe 14 years old, I created a discography torrent of all the Mad Caddie albums. I labeled it as "Variable Bitrate," which was definitely not accurate for that torrent. It actually contained a mix of low-quality bitrates ranging from 180 to v0 that I had scraped from mediafire and other torrents. However, it did include every album released up to that point, and no one complained.
There are some lyrics on this album that don't age well, and I'm a little put off by the white guy trying to sound Jamaican, but even with all that, the instrumentation is so heavy and rad. Nothing in Ska Punk sounded quite as fun as them back in the day.
Anything interesting?
- The opening riff of Distress has been stuck in my head for at least the last 5 years, but I didn’t know what it was from. I was so sure I had written it and was holding onto it until I felt like writing a ska song. Turns out, it’s from this.
- Polyester Khakis fucking rips.
